Unsafe Conditions, Government Corruption

Universal Divinity Ministry™ is actively engaged in outreach to Africa. Many months ago, we met an outstanding individual, an Environmental Activist and Social Justice Warrior, who asked us to help him change conditions in Africa. We began discussing how we could help, what his vision of change looked like, and what we would require in order to bring change about.

Soon, our friend contacted us and was in great distress. He told us that local miners had been forced to work in unsafe mining conditions at a nearby mine and that many were now dead. We were shocked, immediately wanted to help, and we asked him for more information. He explained that the mine where collapses are occurring was officially closed by the Zambian Government for numerous safety violations, but unofficially, local corruption had allowed this mine to remain open and more miners die there every day. We asked our friend if there was evidence of the corruption, of the deaths, even of the mine being illegally open.

With no thought for his own safety, this warrior trekked alone through the jungle to the mine. He interviewed miners working on site. He took video of soldiers running the mines alongside foremen dressed in white, leaving no doubt that the government is actually involved and that the mine is still open and are being directed by mining supervisors. Most disturbing, he revealed that any miner who speaks of the deaths or against the government is being arrested, or worse. He shared an exclusive video of local police loading bodies into the bed of a truck to be taken to a mass grave (as posted on our social media). He shared photos of soldiers digging the graves and overseeing a staged “funeral" for grieving families. He almost lost his life more than once to get this evidence.

For his efforts to expose this corporate and government corruption and cover up, our friend is now being hunted by soldiers and police; a wanted fugitive. He needs our support to reach safety so that he can heal and compile the footage he possesses. Then we can release it to the World and show them the truth. The corruption, the death, the greed of the mining corporation, and the CONTINUING exploitation of the local people.
