Farming in Africa

Many months ago, we had the sincere pleasure of meeting noted Environmentalist and Farmer, Kebba Omar Jobe of The Gambia. Kebba is well known and has been instrumental in the creation of organizations such as Women and Youth Empowerment Organization. This group was successful due to Kebba's assertion that it should revolve around a community farm capable of feeding 100 residents and producing organic crops to sell. The money earned is used to pay for necessities, supplies, housing, education, and even provide workers with a modest income for participating. We were extremely impressed with his simple, yet sustainable and sensible plan, and we were anxious to discuss a partnership with him, a way to allow more African communities, orphanages, and schools to benefit from his guidance, wisdom, and skills.

Much of Africa is suffering the effects of drought at this moment. The drought is widespread and threatening to increase famine in an Africa already plagued by hunger. Proper irrigation and wells, clean water and good planning, are essential to successful farming and Kebba is prepared to travel to those in need of food to teach them to feed and support themselves. These are  invaluable skills that are necessary if Africa is ever to have access to the food it needs to feed its people.

Universal Divinity Ministry™ believes that the only way to defeat hunger in Africa is to provide Africans with the means by which to produce their own food. Kebba agrees, and we want to fully support and fund his efforts to make Africa sustainable and self-reliant. The modest amount that we are asking for on this page would provide the necessary funding for Kebba to establish several working farms, feed hundreds of people, and employ Kebba. We urge you to join this partnership between Universal Divinity™ and Kebba and to help us reach our goal. You have the opportunity to be a part of the movement that results in Africa reaching food independence and a more prosperous economy. An Earth-friendly, eco-friendly farm that produces healthy, organic foods is good for everyone.

Please, give generously and help us to end the unnecessary starvation and suffering that is so commonly found in Africa due to poverty and food insecurity. We offer lasting change.
